Hybrid = noted in 1937-40 survey.

  Common Horsetail. Equisetum arvense Linnaeus<= /td>
  Great Horsetail. Equisetum telmatia Ehrh.
Area ea= st of Pill-box Hill decreased by scrub/secondary woodland invasion.
  Great Horsetail. Equisetum telmatia var. serotinum.
Listed = in Flora of Norfolk (1968).

OPHIOGLOSSACEAE:
  Adder's Tongue. Ophioglossum vulgatum Linnaeus
Last se= en 2001. Area has become rough with common reed.
OSMUNDACEAE:
  Royal Fern. Osmunda regalis Linnaeus
 A single plant survives on Area V desp= ite having being mown by EN contractors.
Two pla= nts translocated to Area V 16/10/05.
POLYPODIACEAE:
  Common Polypody. Polypodium vulgare Linnaeus
Confine= d to shaded banks alongside main track through Area VII.
DENNSTAEDTIACEAE:
  Bracken. Pteridium aquifolium (L.) Kuhn
Since 1= 985 the area of bracken has been significantly reduced by conservation bodies.
THELYPTERIDACEAE:
  Marsh Fern. Thelypteris palustris Schott
Increas= ing on central mire and northeast corner marsh.
ASPLENIACEAE:
  Hart's Tongue. Asplenium scolopendrium Linnaeus
Single = plant recorded from secondary woodland southeast of Pill-box Hill and eastern boundary ditch.
WOODSIACEAE:
  Lady Fern. Anthyrium filix-femina (L.) Roth
General= ly found in damp secondary woodland along east side of Pill-box Hill.
DRYOPTERIDACEAE:
  Male Fern. Dryopteris filix-mas (L.) Schott
Occurs = throughout the Commons in suitable habitat.
  Scaly Male Fern. Dryopteris affinis (Lowe) Fraser-J= enkins
Plants = showing characters of this species were noted 05/99  
  Crested Buckler Fern. Dryopteris cristata (L.) A. Gray
Remains= virtually confined to a few square metres of Area V.
  Broad Buckler Fern. Dryopteris dilatata (Hoffm.) A. Gray
General= ly common throughout.
  Narrow-leaved Buckler Fern. Dryopteris carthusiana (Villars) H= .P. Fuchs
A few p= lants present in south of Area V and along southern boundary.
